About the Farm…
Veeken’s Farm started in 1954 as a small poultry farm ran by three brothers. Over the next 50+ years, and under the ownership of Peter Veeken, the farm grew to be one of the largest poultry farms in BC, providing farm fresh eggs to local communities in North-Central BC. In 2008, Veeken’s Poultry Farm transitioned to Veeken’s Family Farm; moving their focus from farm fresh eggs to farm fresh produce. Now, spanning 160 acres, the farm utilizes the fertile soil to grow delicious berries, fresh vegetables, and nutritious hay. Over the years, the farm has not only been been a pillar in the local community, it has also been a pillar in the Veeken family - employing 4 generations of Veekens. While revisiting their roots this year, the farm has welcomed back free-range chickens to the land, while also adding new livestock - goats! Moving forward, Veeken’s Family Farm will continue to expand and strive to provide local, organically grown produce to support their community for many years to come.
